Polish LOT to purchase Croatia Airlines?
Polish media report that the first meeting between the two sides will take place this summer.
– If LOT were to take over another airliner, it would mark our further expansion – the LOT spokesperson said.
The chairman of the Supervisory Board of Croatia Airlines, Zlatko Matesa, announced in June that Poland's LOT was interested in the Croatian airliner and pointed out that a European partner would be ideal for them, as it could take over a majority stake in line with EU regulations.
In April, the Croatian government announced plans for the privatization of its national operator after adopting the National Reform Program for 2018.
