Main Railway Station in Belgrade made history – Trains departing from Prokop

Beginning with July 1, 2018, all trains in the international and internal railway traffic will have their starting and end terminal at the Belgrade Center station in Prokop. The last train to depart from the Main Railway Station set off on the Belgrade Budapest route on June 30, at 9:45 pm.

A total of 195 trains will travel each day through Belgrade Center Prokop, of which 16 international ones, 56 local ones, 90 trains on the BG Voz line between Batajnica and Ovca and 33 trains of the BG Voz line between Belgrade Center and Resnik.

For the first time, trains will be operating the route between Vrsac and downtown Belgrade, with five departures a day.

The press release by the Infrastructure of the Serbian Railways says that, after the realization of a number of activities, the Vuk Monument station is also fully prepared for the daily traffic of 100 trains from July 1 – 90 trains on the BG Voz Batajnica – Ovca line and 10 on the Belgrade Center – Vrsac line.


The building of the Railway Station in Belgrade, built in 1884, should become the History Museum of Serbia.
