Blue Origin announces space travel tourist tickets for 2019

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his company Blue Origin plan to start offering tickets for space travel in 2019.

The price is not yet known, but flights should take around ten minutes. The rockets will reach the altitude of around 100 kilometers and land vertically.

Test passenger flights should be carried out soon from a launch pad in Western Texas.

Six space tourists can fit in the passenger capsule of 15 m3.

During the flight, they will experience the zero gravity state. The capsule will land with the help of a parachute.

Richard Branson offered a similar attraction ten years ago through his Virgin Galactic.

Branson sold as many as 700 tickets at the price of USD 250,000 at the time, but no flights have taken place since. This should happen in the next couple of months, RTS reports.
