Aptiv to employ 2,000 people in Leskovac – Agreement with local self-government on July 2

Mayor of Leskovac Goran Cvetanovic held a meeting with representatives of Aptiv, which is building a factory in the Green Zone, on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, Dnevnik Juga reports.

The topics of the meeting were the completion of the utility equipping of the Green Zone, the construction of traffic routes in the zone and the development of the sewer network. The signing of an agreement under which this investor will oblige to employ at least 2,000 workers was also discussed at the meeting.

It was agreed for the signing of the agreement to take place on Monday, July 2, 2018, and the agreement will be signed by Mayor Goran Cvetanovic and the director of Aptiv, Marco Massano.

Let us remind that the members of the Town Assembly of Leskovac adopted the decision on providing Aptiv Packard with six hectares of land for free at the session held on May 7, 2018, and that the company is to invest around EUR 25 million in the construction and the equipping of a factory in Leskovac.
