Tech Data to take over unit of OSA Racunarski Inzenjering – Completion of acquisition by end-July

Tech Data announced today that it had signed an agreement on the takeover of a unit of OSA Racunarski Inzenjering, the leading added value distributor in the software segment in the region encompassing Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Albania. Both parties expect that the acquisition would be completed by the end of July of 2018, in line with the agreement and with the meeting of certain requirements.

As said in the press release, with this agreement, the company Datech Solutions, tech Data's specialized global provider of added value services for Autodesk and Autodesk's sales channel, expands its partnership through a presence in the whole Balkans and the distribution of horizontal solutions, such as AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT, together with AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) solutions for product design and manufacture, media and entertainment. Furthermore, a large number of highly educated and qualified experts will join the Datech Solutions team.

– This agreement is further proof of the validity of Tech Data's strategy towards increasing the value added business, with selective takeovers in technological and geographic areas where we can continue upgrading services, providing user support and having the profit for our shareholders increase – said Mike Appel, Vice President of Data Solutions.

Following the acquisition, OSA intends to reshape its remaining businesses into added value resale, using its knowledge and experience in the market.
