Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and Iranian Minister of Mining, Industry and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari signed the Air Transport Agreement between the two countries on Thursday, June 21, 2018.
– Serbia is a country working on establishing connections, and when countries are not physically close, there's no more important means of connection than air transport. Today we signed a new, modern air transport agreement, which will be a framework for the traffic and direct flights between the two countries, recently re-established after 27 years, as well as for commercial cooperation between Air Serbia and Iran Air. Good traffic connections are also a basis for an enhancement of our relations in all other fields as well, including economy, culture and tourism – Mihajlovic said.
The agreement was signed as part of the 15th session of the Mixed Trade Committee of the Republic of Serbia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, held at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade.
