The Government of Serbia has adopted the programme of measures for alleviation of effects of economic crisis today (January 29, 2009), which anticipates allotment of 122 billion RSD worth of banking loans in 2009 with the help from the state.

The Prime Minister of Serbia, Mirko Cvetković, said at the press conference that the aim of those measures was to increase production and export through growth of both liquidity of the economy sector and the purchasing power of the population.

- The funds will not be provided from the budget. These stimuli will make it possible for the liquidity of banking sector to ensure the liquidity of economy sector - said the Prime Minister.
