Reconstruction of the Clinical Center of Serbia to start by the end of 2018 – Value of works around EUR 140 million
Although it was announced several months ago that the works would start in June, the plans had to be changed due to the repeating of the tender for the contractor, at the request of the European Investment Bank, after it had approved the loan. The tender is now in its final stage. The evaluation report has been submitted for final approval, and these days it will be disclosed which company won the tender and the agreement will be signed with it.
According to the adopted master plan, the project has two phases. The first one entails the construction of a new tower of 27,000 square meter, the reconstruction of the podium and the construction of new technical units, parking lots, traffic routes and the development of green areas.
The second phase entails a total reconstruction of the old tower and the podium, encompassing 47,000 meters.
The project envisages for the new tower to be built first, so that the Polyclinic of the CCS, located on the podium of the old tower, could function without obstacle. The moving of the Polyclinic would only follow after the first phase of the construction, which would create the conditions for a total reconstruction of the old tower and the podium.
The value of the works in the two phases is EUR 96.1 million and EUR 43 million respectively.
