Export of RTB Bor in first five months of 2018 exceeds USD 100 million
The foreign exchange inflow came from the sale of copper, silver, platinum, palladium, selenium, sulfuric acid and bluestone, whereas the value of the exports in May amounted to USD 16.4 million, says a press release by RTB Bor.
Since the beginning of the year, RTB sold close to 12 thousand tons of copper, which, together with the sale of other products, made for a 30% increase in exports. The copper was bought from RTB Bor by clients from Turkey, Croatia, Germany and Bulgaria. The English bought a ton and a half of silver, 25.2 kilograms of palladium and a kilogram and a half of platinum, and a total of 13.5 tons of selenium and 475 tons of bluestone were sent to Poland.
On the other hand, RTB Bor delivered 3,685 tons of copper, worth USD 25.6 million, to local processors – The Copper Rolling Mill and East Point in Sevojno and Pometon in Bor.
This copper also ended up abroad in the form of wires, sheet metal, strips, powder and billets.
The income of RTB Bor from the sale of copper in May amounted to USD 15.78 million, and the company earned an additional USD 600,000 from the sale of 1.8 tons of selenium, 12 kilograms of palladium, 45 tons of bluestone and 2.1 tons of sulfuric acid.
