Serbian Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy Zoran Djordjevic and Chinese Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Security Yizhen Zhang signed an agreement on social security between the two states on Thursday, June 7, 2018.
Under this agreement, representatives of investment companies, employees at airlines and other workers from China and Serbia will be freed of the mandatory pension insurance in case of unemployment in the other country, Zhang said.
– This will further intensify economic and trade relations of China and Serbia, facilitate the exchange of workers, reduce company costs in employment and increase investors’ trust. At the same time, the interests and the rights of social security of our two countries’ workers will be even better protected – Zhang said.
Minister Djordjevic reminded that “Serbia is one of the rare states in Europe to abolish visa requirements for citizens of China and, in addition to being able to invest in our country, we want them to be able to spend their vacations in Serbia as well”.
