The Blace-based dairy Lazar has rented 120 hectares for a sour cherry orchard from the Municipality of Vladicin Han. The company has another 100 hectares in Bojnik.

The sour cherries will be organic. As they say for our portal, the plan is for a fruit processing facility to be built in the territory of Vladicin Han in around five years.

The company Lazar Blace first traded consumer goods and then later expanded its activities to include milk and dairy processing. The factory has 230 employees for now. Furthermore, the factory also includes a cow farm with 1,200 head of livestock, which produces 90 tons of milk each day.

– It is important to point out that we were the first ones in Serbia to have a facility for the production of electrical energy from biomass, that is, from manure. The facility produces 1,000 kW of electricity per hour, which means that it supplies around 1,400 households with power each month – Milan Vidojevic, director and owner of the Lazar dairy, says for our portal.

The company produces yellow cheeses, white cheeses, yoghurt, and milk, and it gets milk for its own production from a large number of farms.

The Lazar dairy exports half of what it produces to the markets of Russia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sweden, Switzerland...
