Zrenjanin was visited on Monday, June 4, 2018, by representatives of a large company from South Korea which operates within the textile industry. As said on the official website of the City, they expressed great interest in investing in Industrial Zone Southeast, and they also had a meeting with Mayor Cedomir Janjic and his associates.

The city administration of Zrenjanin says for eKapija that the negotiations with the potential investor are still in progress and that the name of the company and more details about the potential investments, such as the deadlines and the amount of the investment, will be disclosed only after the talks are completed.

The local self-government has worked on promoting industrial zones and potentials of Zrenjanin in the past period, as well as on enhancing the business conditions, for both local and foreign companies. One of the latest investments was the one made by Essex Europe, whose first products are expected to leave the Zrenjanin facility in late September.

Let us remind that, in 2017, Zrenjanin reached the decision to have the Industrial Zone Southeast expanded to another 550 hectares, as the industrial zones had been filled and they were ready to offer premises fully equipped with infrastructure to potential investors.
