TheFishExperts new owner of fish processing factory ServFood from Smederevo

The company TheFishExperts (TFE) is the new owner of the plant PTC Germany, which includes a facility of the fish processing plant ServFood Smederevo, it was announced from the company's seat in Germany. The press release says that the insolvent company was acquired on June 1, together with all 80 employees, as well as that ServFood, PTC's branch in Serbia, is also a part of the deal.

A food industry expert, Christian Helms, will be leading the company. He is the CEO of the newly founded parent company TSE Holding GmbH, and his long-term associate Thomas Schemmel will take over the management of the new TFE GmbH, the press release adds, as reported by Smederevske Novine.

– We are very satisfied with having won the tender. According to our estimates, the company has a fantastic potential for development. We will first review our plans and consult with the existing teams and then orient towards a successful wholesale and processing of fish. We will keep all the employees, but we will move the seat from Kempen to Bremerhaven. We want Bremerhaven to become the fish processing center of Europe – Helms stated, as cited in the press release.

It was emphasized that all involved parties “wish for the amount paid to remain undisclosed”, whereas Helms pointed out that they had paid “a reasonable price for PTC Germany and ServFood”, Smederevske Novine reports.
