First furniture showroom “Lesnina” opened in Belgrade
The first retail facility of “Lesnina”, the leader in furniture market in Southeast Europe, was opened in Belgrade on January 17th, 2009. The penetration of the Belgrade market initiated “Lesnina’s” investment cycle worth about 100m EUR, which includes construction and opening of large furniture showrooms at up to 30,000 square meters in all major cities in Serbia.
"Lesnina showroom" is situated in Department Store “Zvezda”, 25 Glavna Street, in Zemun. At about 750 square meters, company "Aleksandro" offers the most interesting “Lesnina” furniture sets for kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, kids’ rooms, shelves and showcases for living rooms, cupboards and wardrobes, as well as office furniture. There are 20 workers in the showroom, which increases the number of people employed by "Aleksandro" to 208.
As Mirko Rakonjac, one of the founders of company "Aleksandro", explained, the showroom in Zemun is just an experimental showroom and it will serve to estimate consumers’ demands before the opening of large trade center at 30,000 square meters in Belgrade.
Rakonjac explained that the contract on purchase of land was about to be signed. Construction of large “Lesnina” showroom in Belgrade will cost between 40 and 50m EUR.
Company "Aleksandro", the result of strategic merger between "TRA Duga" from Sombor and Ljubljana’s "Lesnina", offered additional discount of 10% on all purchases made in “Lesnina showroom” between January 17th and 31st.
