JLB Soulier from Pirot soon to start producing for Siemens
The company is supported by French capital, Pirotske reports, and the company is currently working mostly for the needs of Michelin, with which it has been cooperating for a number of years.
– Our goal is to bring as many small companies, suppliers to Tigar Tyres, to Pirot. We have been working on this for years and now we have a company here which employs more than 30 workers at the moment, and the plan is to expand the production and hire new workers. Michelin is a great potential, where 3,500 people work, but there’s room for a huge number of smaller companies “leaning” on the operations of this giant – Mayor Vladan Vasic said.
The owner of JLB Soulier, Eric Blanchetete, said that he had been present in Serbia for 17 years.
– We are here in Pirot, because my group is Michelin’s partner of 40 years. Michelin asked us to come here and invest in Pirot. Our wish is to expand the capacities in Pirot – Blanchetete said.
The director of the JLB Soulier plant, Dusan Popovic, told Pirotske Vesti that around EUR 1.5 million had been invested in the building and the machines up till then and that expansion plans were very ambitious.
