New Spanish companies interested in investing in Serbia – Two countries to hold business forum on October 22-24 in Belgrade

In order to contribute to getting to know each other better and to intensify contacts between Serbia and Spain, we plan to organize the Spain-Serbia Business Forum in Belgrade on October 22-24, 2018, announced the head counselor at the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain to Serbia, Javier Alvarez.

– We hope to attract Spanish companies from sectors such as road infrastructure, environment, energy, automotive, textile and agricultural-food industry, which we believe are the most promising ones when it comes to our bilateral cooperation – he pointed out.

As he reminded, there are 24 Spanish companies registered and operating in Serbia, in sectors such as engineering, construction, environmental protection, fashion, car and rail components, food industry, hotel business, industrial equipment etc.

– In general, the results so far have been favorable for these companies, so much so that some of them are planning to expand their investments – Alvarez told B92.

– Also, we are aware that several other Spanish companies are interested in launching operations in Serbia – he adds.
