The minister without a portfolio in charge of innovation and technological development in the Government of Serbia, Nenad Popovic, met with the new Russian Minister of Agriculture, Dmitry Patrushev, at SPIEF and said that the potentials for cooperation in the field of agriculture were great, especially on the Serbian side, which can export “practically everything it produces” to Russia duty-free.
Popovic says that he also discussed with his Russian colleague the implementation of IT technologies in agriculture, as well as the implementation of innovations in this field, and pointed out that Serbia’s level of advancement in the field was high, thanks to its science centers and engineers.
– We have agreed to present this knowledge here in Russia in the upcoming period. Minister Patrushev accepted my invitation to visit Serbia this autumn and to see in more detail the potentials Serbia has in agricultural production – Popovic said.
The main topic of this year’s SPIEF was “Building a Trust Economy”.
