Government forms coordination body for GRECO recommendations
– We are taking recommendations of the Council of Europe and other institutions seriously – the prime minister said at the City Assembly of Belgrade.
A procedure was initiated against Serbia and another eight countries by the Council of Europe over, as said, “globally unsatisfactory” compliance with the recommendations for countering corruption among members of the parliament, judges and prosecutors.
These are recommendations of GRECO, which operates as part of the Council of Europe, and whose annual report was published in Brussels and Strasbourg, warning that there has been a regression in the fight against corruption”.
The procedure was also initiated for Belgium, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Turkey.
