The Government of Serbia plans to carry out several measures
in order to enhance the development of the IT sector in Serbia this year, and one of the measures pertains to aiding the development of the Science-Technology Park in Cacak.
An amount of EUR 3.5 million has been set aside for this, and the funds will be used to secure and equip new business premises for the needs of new companies.
– The securing and the equipping of business premises for the needs of business incubation would strengthen the capacities of the organization for the creation and growth of innovative companies, which would provide an opportunity for young professionals to stay in Cacak and apply their knowledge to the end of the development of the local economy. The expansion of the spatial capacities of the Science-Technology Park in Cacak will be realized through the takeover and exploitation of the Tehnos location, with around 5,500 m2 on an area of around 3.5 hectares – says the document published by the Government of Serbia.
After the location is cleaned and the spatial development plan realized, construction and reconstruction of the facilities in stages should follow. After young business entities move in, conditions would be met for the creation of 300 new jobs. The adaptation and the realization of the project is supposed to take 24 months.
The City of Cacak is investing land and full infrastructure, worth EUR 2.5 million, in the realization of this project, whereas the state should contribute EUR 3. 5 million to the construction and the repair of the existing facilities.
