Public call for construction of Science-Technology Park in Nis opens – Works to begin in August 2018

The construction of the Science-Technology Park in Nis is expected to begin in August 2018, as announced by the Public Investments Office of the Government of Serbia.

This is a new facility of around 14,000 m2, and the international public call for contractors, which has just been opened, is valid until June 18. The estimated value of the procurement, as said in the documentation, is EUR 8.75 million (without VAT), and it is financed from the loan of the European Investment Bank.

The new building of the STP in Nis will have a basement and four floors. The gross area of the floors amounts to around 10,625 m2, and the underground level has 3,352 m2. The ground floor will feature a meeting room, a restaurant and a kitchen, a showroom and the accompanying technical and sanitary rooms, as well as staircases and elevators. The other three floors will feature offices, a tea room, a dining room, a balcony, toilets, technical rooms, staircases and elevators. The basement is reserved for a garage with 75 parking spaces, technical rooms, staircases, elevators and additional features (such as a fitness club etc.).

The framework date for the beginning of the works is August 2018, and the works should be completed in the autumn of 2019.

Let us remind that, in addition to the new building, the complex of the Science-Technology Park in Nis will also feature a multifunctional annex to the Faculty of Electronic Engineering of around 6,800 m2.

The construction and the equipping of these facilities is financed by the European Investment Bank, and, as announced earlier, they are worth around EUR 15 million.
