Tender for project of development of Karadjordjeva and Savska streets opens
Let us remind that the works are to be carried out in the Sava coastal area, as part of the Belgrade Waterfront project.
The preparation of the technical documentation has been evaluated at RSD 39.5 million, and the chosen candidate will need to prepare preliminary designs and projects for the building permit and the construction works for all three sections individually, so that the construction might later be carried out in stages.
As said, the projects will enable the obtaining of the construction permit for the works in the Karadjordjeva Street from Branko's Bridge to the Sava Square, the traffic route around the Sava Square, and the Savska Street from the Sava Bridge to the Gazela Bridge, including the tram tracks.
The total area of public traffic routes encompassed by these projects is 85,240 square meters, and the length – from Branko's Bridge to the Gazela Bridge – amounts to around 2,000 meters, including the two-way tram tracks which need to be fully reconstructed in line with the current urban plan.
As the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency explains, the Karadjordjeva Street is planned to vary in width. The traffic route in the Sava Square zone is planned to have a lane 14 meter wide, and the current route is to be changed, whereas the new one will take the form of a semi-circle and follow the already formed shape of the square. The traffic route from the Sava Square to the Gazela Bridge features two lanes, a green tram lane and sidewalks on both sides. The spatial plan envisages two-way tram tracks in the entire length of the traffic routes, with multi-way tracks in a section of the Karadjordjeva Street, that is, a section for rerouting towards the Old Sava Bridge, whereas the tram tracks on the intersection between the Nemanjina Street and the Sava Square are to keep their current position.
As pointed out in the documentation, considering that the designing and the construction of the traffic routes along with infrastructure within the Belgrade Waterfront project are in progress, the design engineer must contact all the participants in the Belgrade Waterfront project before the preparation of the technical documentation starts, so that project documentations can be harmonized.
The bid submission deadline is April 27, and the reconstruction of the traffic routes will also include the plan for a new water and sewer network, electrical and TC installations, as well as the landscaping.
