"Sirogojno Company" invests 1m EUR in new fruit-processing unit

"Sirogojno Company" has started development of the fruit-processing unit in Rupeljevo today (October 27, 2008), in which 1m EUR will be invested.

The owner of the company, Rado Ljubojević, said while laying the foundation stone that about 4 tons of raspberry, blackberry, apple and other fruit would be processed on daily basis in the new unit at about 1,000 square meters.

- The investment will provide new jobs and prosperity for the entire region, while the processed fruit will be intended mainly for export - said he.

If the weather allows, the unit in Rupeljevo will be put into operation in February or March 2009.

The equipment is mainly made in Serbia, while certain machines are imported from the USA and Mexico.
