Delegation of Austrian entrepreneurs in March 2009 in Jagodina - Dragan Marković in Vienna

The Mayor of Jagodina, Dragan Marković, announced that the delegation of Austrian entrepreneurs should visit Jagodina in March 2009 to talk about possible investments in that municipality.

Marković is currently in Vienna where he leads the delegation of Jagodina’s entrepreneurs. They talked with large Austrian companies about privatization of the Jagodina Brewer and Cable Factory.

- Many companies expressed interest and the talks will be resumed in a couple of days - said Marković and pointed out that the business delegation had also talked about arrival of foreign companies that would have their production units built in Serbia.

City of Jagodina, as Marković pointed out, is willing to offer 200 ha of land to foreign investors under one condition - they must hire workers from Jagodina. The land is for free, as well as public utility services.

Marković said that he suggested company "Porr-Werner&Weber" that it should present Jagodina to Austrian investors and that "Porr", which was developing regional dump in Jagodina, had accepted that.



According to Marković's words, the business delegation of Jagodina that arrived in Vienna on Tuesday (NOvember 25, 2008, included representatives of the Jagodina Brewer and the representatives of Cable Factory, "Navip", furniture factory "Jela" and trade company.
