Germany’s Leoni to build factory at Ratarsko Imanje in Kraljevo – Production facility of 60,000 m2 planned
For this reason, an extraordinary session of the town assembly was called on Friday, March 16, 2018, with only one item on the agenda – Amendment to the General Regulation Plan of Ratarsko Imanje-Grdica, submitted by the Department of Urban Planning and Housing-Municipal Activities. Prior to the session, the entire project was up for public review and was adopted by the town commission following a public discussion.
A parcel of around 13 hectares is planned for Leoni. The production facility itself will have 60,000 square meters.
The parcel is located next to two well connected traffic routes and a new roundabout will provide the connection to the Ibar Road as well.
The regulation project covers an area of around 27.5 hectares, which means that this part of the town will be fully transformed.
In Kraljevo, as announced, Leoni will employ 4,000 workers. The first facility for the production of cables and installations for the automotive industry will be completed by the end of December 2018, and the first workers will enter the halls on 2019.
The entire project will be completed in 2020, when Leoni’s biggest factory in Serbia should start operating here.
