Italy's Verdi Fashion to open footwear plant in Ub by late May 2018 – Jobs for 200 people
As the company told eKapija, Verdi Fashion will invest around a million euros in the new facility. The factory should open this May, and 200 workers will be employed there, the investors told our portal.
The training of the first 40 production workers begins on March 20 and will take two months.
The local self-government obliges to equip the location for the footwear plant with infrastructure, in the Stublenica-Ub industrial zone, where the Italian company has bought 20 hectares of land.
The new facility of the Italian company in Paljuvi is the first investment in the newly formed Stublenica-Ub industrial zone, which offers around 110 hectares.
The Italian company Verdi Fashion S.P.A. is registered in Serbia as Verdi Fashion International in Koceljeva, and they told our portal that the company's seat should move to Ub in the spring.
