Test run at regional landfill in Subotica to begin on April 1

The test run at the regional landfill in Subotica, meant to service seven local self-governments of Backa and Banat, will begin on April 1, says the operating program of the company, adopted by the City Assembly of Subotica.

The Regional Municipal Waste Management System will be in charge of collecting, separating, recycling and composting waste from households in Subotica, Backa Topola, Kanjiza, Senta, Mali Idjos, Coka and Novi Knezevac.

EUR 20 million from the IPA funds of the EU was invested in the construction, and 60 workers will be employed this year.
