Bomex 4M Shipyard Perlez goes into bankruptcy
The petition in bankruptcy was filed by the bankruptcy debtor itself, the Zrenjaninski portal reports.
This shipyard has been experiencing financial problems for a long time now. A few years ago, it tried to find the solution in a PPRP.
The company’s account was blocked and its debts grew to several hundred million dinars, due to which enforceable verdicts and attempts at the sale of the property, so that the creditors would collect their claims, kept piling up.
The Tax Administration of Serbia recently announced that the Perlez-based shipyard was one of the three active companies in the Middle Banat on the list of the biggest tax debtors. The shipyard was listed 199th, with debts of close to RSD 40 million.
The shipyard announced that it had been operating with losses since 2010 and that numerous state institutions had been warned several times of the fact that it was impossible to continue the operations without state or banking guarantees.
