The five-hundredth Fiat 500L left the assembly line at the Kragujevac plant on Thursday, February 22, 2018.

As the company FCA Serbia announced, this record “confirms the success this model has achieved since it was presented to the market in 2012”.

– Looking at 2017 as a whole, Fiat 500L reached a market share of around 22% in Europe and over 52% in Italy.

The results of the sale in the first month of 2018 seem just as successful. A growth by 5% compared to the same period last year was recorded in Europe, whereas the market share in this category in Italy amounted to more than 50%.

It is also added that, in order to confirm its leading position in the market, the model Fiat 500L was redesigned and that in now offers “more room, more technological solutions and a unique character”.

The Kragujevac factory, which was fully renovated precisely for the purpose of the production of this model, opened in April 2012, after three years of intensive works and a billion euros of investments in the extension of the infrastructure, the renovation of the facilities and the production capacities and the installation of the latest equipment and the vehicle production system.
