Komercijalna Banka realizes profit of EUR 61 million in 2017
As the bank reported, realized profit is a result of improved quality of loan portfolio, resolved issue of bad loans from the past, in accordance with a new regulatory framework, increase in operating profitability in every-day business, despite the trend of decreasing interest in the market, cost-cutting measures and improvement of efficiency through comprehensive reshaping of the branch network, centralization of the support function and introduction of new digital services.
It is stated in the business plan that such positive business trends will continue this year as well.
In terms of equity, Komercijalna Banka is still among market leaders. Regarding the stability of business, the Bank is currently characterized by above average liquidity and capitalization. This is supported also by the capital adequacy ratio that stands at 27.9%, which is significantly above the limit set by the National Bank of Serbia.
As the press release adds, as of December 31, 2017, the Bank had more than EUR 1.6 billion of savings.
In terms of balance-sheet assets, according to the latest available data from NBS, Komercijalna Banka accounts for approx. 11% of the local banking market, the press release adds.
