"First Data" offers SMS payment solutions for mobile prepaid bills
Company "First Data", the global leader in the domain of electronic operations and payment services, officially entered Serbian market of mobile prepaid services yesterday (November 4, 2008).
Company "First Data" announced that the local users of mobile phone numbers of all three operators - "Telekom Srbija", "Telenor" and "VIP" - would be enabled to top up credit on their prepaid accounts via SMS, as well as to top up credit on the accounts of their friends and families by using their "visa" debit or credit cards.
At the moment, ten Serbian banks that issue "visa" debit cards, which are also the members of Serbia’s Mobile Payment Services, offer this service to their clients. "First Data" plans to introduce this service in other local banks next year.
"First Data" will be providing mobile prepaid services in Serbia within the scope of the agreement with company UPAID, the provider of prepaid services for mobile phones. Thanks to that company, "First Data" won the opportunity to offer these services in ten countries of southeast Europe - Albania, BiH, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia and Ukraine.
