Hungary's Szegedi SZEFO ZRt. to open textile facility in Bac – Production of knitwear to start in the summer of 2018
As Dnevnik reports, the Hungarian enterprise plans to initially employ around a hundred workers in two shifts in Bac.
– Workers are to be chosen and trained in two phases in the upcoming period – the first part will take place in Bac, and the other one at the plant in Szeged – says Milan Ivanic of the Office for Local Economic Development of Bac.
– The sewing machines should arrive and a group of workers interested in this job should be chosen next week. There are 715 women from the Municipality of Bac registered at the National Employment Service. They will be selected through a procedure involving an interview and practical work with sewing machines – Ivanic says and adds that the Hungarian company plans for the training in Szeged to take 90 days.
The textile company from Szeged, Ivanic says, was looking for space to lease in Vojvodina meaning to expand its production, and the Municipality of Bac offered premises of 435 square meters which had been empty for years.
– The arrival of these textile workers will considerably contribute to an improvement of the business environment in the municipality, a reduction of unemployment and an increase of the living standard in the Municipality of Bac – Ivanic emphasized.
