A preliminary decision on whether the municipality of Opovo will be chosen for the construction of a factory of cables and electronic elements for the automotive industry, which should create jobs for more than 120 workers in the first phase of the construction, will be reached these days.

An Austrian-American consortium is interested in the construction of this facility, and Opovo is one of the locations the investors are considering.

The president of the municipality, Zoran Tasic, recently held a working meeting with representatives of the Regional Development Agency of Vojvodina and Alexander Gros, owner and founder of Grimex Consult Vienna, which is the investor in this project.

As Tasic said, the local self-government has formed a team which will deal with this topic in the next 15 days, as the decision on the location will be reached in two weeks.

– The meeting was efficient and we presented all the data and all the information requested immediately, so we made a good impression. They saw that we were a serious, well organized local self-government, which knows what it wants and what it can do, and they felt that there were good conditions for investments in Opovo. I hope that the result of these negotiations will be the opening of the first serious factory in our municipality – Tasic said.

Grimex Consult, owned by the Gros family, has been providing professional expertise, project development and control, preparation of strategies and business plans, project management, consulting in finance, investments and mergers and acquisitions and finding strategic partners. It operates in Central and Southeastern Europe, and it places special focus on the Western Balkans.
