Turkish Flex Academy to open facility in Free Zone Priboj – 350 workers to be employed by late 2019
– The obligations that the Turkish investor took upon itself by purchasing close to 20 thousand square meters are to employ 200 workers in the first year and another 150 next year – said assistant to the president of the municipality of Priboj for local economic development, Jasmin Hodzic.
– Our company has been successfully producing all types of pipes for 25 years and is present in the markets of America and the entirety of Europe. We plan to install most of our exporting production facilities here in Serbia over the next three years. We have brought over a part of the machinery and we are to start producing in a month – said the director of the Turkish company, Suleyman Karakus.
He says that they expect another shipment of the machines to arrive by this summer and they will employ around 200 workers this year and a total of around 350 by the end of the next one.
Flex Academy produces hoses, steel pipes, hollow profiles and fittings.
At the same time, the Municipal Council of Priboj says that, with the signing of this agreement, the goals of filling the entirety of the existing indoor facility area in the free zone are met.
The plan for this year's investments in infrastructural equipping of the greenfield area of the zone, amounting to a total of 5 hectares, was adopted at the session as well.
The initiation of the production in FAP's facility Preseraj, located within this free zone, is expected to take place in 2018 as well.
