The company Trivit has recently bought the Alimpije bakery, thereby saving it from financial troubles it was experiencing, Blic reports.

The Becej-based business empire of Vera Scepanovic thereby gained another company with big capacities, but also debts and an account blocked for the amount of around RSD 63 million.

Scepanovic says for Blic that Trivit hasn't bought the company itself, but that it bought the property, the facilities and the equipment of the Alimpije bakery on December 27, 2017.

– For the agreed price, the obligation is for the employees and the suppliers to be paid and for the debts for utility services and the debts towards the state to be settled – she says and adds that “three salaries were paid before January 12, and the remaining two will be paid by the end of the month”.

Scepanovic adds that they are ready to invest in the purchase and the repair of the equipment and that the plan is for the facility in Zeleznik to be given an additional task of making products for central Serbia.

Trivit was founded in 2006. It has bakeries in Vrbas, Becej, Loznica and Niksic, as well as a vegetable production and processing facility in Backo Gradiste. It employs 600 people.
