Government adopted Draft regulation governing payment for public capital in privatization process - procurement on credit

- Government of Serbia made the decision on October 23 to increase guaranteed amount on the citizens' savings in banks from 3,000 to 50,000 EUR. This decision will be applied to both physical and juristic persons - said Petar Škundrić, Minister of Energy and Mining.

Škundrić said that, in addition to several changes and supplements to the law that regulates deposit insurance and operations of the Deposit Insurance Agency, the Government of Serbia had also adopted the Draft regulation governing the method of payment for public capital in the privatization process.

Minister of Economy, Mlađan Dinkić, explained earlier that, according to that regulation, buyers on auctions and tenders would have to pay 30% of the contracted price in advance, while the rest would be paid within the next five years.
