Parallel to the construction of a new factory of the German investor Zumtobel, the works on infrastructural equipping of over 18 hectares, where the state and the city of Nis will invest RSD 85 million, are well on their way. The investor should open the EUR 30 million factory in mid-2018 and employ 1,100 workers.

The bare land known as Vinogradarski Institut has become a new industrial zone and a true construction site, as a waste water collector is being built along with the access routes, and the Suvodol stream is to be redirected as well.

– The City obliges by contract, together with the Roads of Serbia, to complete the works by February 20. Of the 18 hectares, the German investor has received 11 hectares, whereas the remaining area, which is fully developed, will be offered to other investors – says Mayor of Nis Darko Bulatovic.
