Analysis of the Doing Business of 100 Most Successful Enterprises in Serbia in 2007 aims to identify most profitable enterprises – mainstays of development of the Republic, and to point to their position and influence on overall developments in economy, and thus to the level and dynamics of implementation of structural changes coupled with the promotion of economic and system environment. Methodology-wise, the analysis focuses on enterprises ranked by the level of earned profit with more than 100 employees and does not comprise public enterprises. Part One presents a short analysis of the structure and financial results of the doing business of the non-financial sector, with special attention paid to operations of profit-makers in 2007, public companies, and large economic systems on the basis of consolidated balances. Part Two displays basic data on 100 most successful enterprises and the analysis of achieved results by most important indicators of doing business, with special attention paid to sector and regional breakdown of these enterprises, whereby best-ranked enterprises by each selected indicator have been recognized. A dynamic analysis identifies most successful enterprises and their impact on overall economic developments over the period 2005-2007. Part Three contains basic data on quantitative and qualitative indicators for 100 most successful enterprises, ranked by the level of earned profit. In order to compile the analytical and documentary basis, annual reports on doing business for 2007 have been used as well as data on export activity of enterprises and the internal database of the RDB.
