Lozni Kalem, which has been considered one of the most attractive locations to investors coming to Nis for a long time, is getting utility infrastructure.

The works began around ten days ago, and more than 33 hectares of the land on Lozni Kalem are slowly being turned into a proper working zone. The construction of a sewer and water network, as well as streets, is in progress.

– The works on laying down the water and sewer network and the construction of infrastructure are in progress. A public parking lot and seven streets are also to be built, as will be the Banatska Street in the length of 2.9 kilometers – Mayor Darko Bulatovic said.

Around RSD 200 million will be set aside for utility infrastructure in Lozni Kalem. A half of the amount is provided by the city, whereas the second half is secured from the state budget.

Although the weather is not ideal, the head of the city emphasizes that everything is going according to plan so far, and if the works continue at the same pace, they will be completed within the planned deadline period of 90 days.

Let us remind that a plant of the company IMI is being built in this area, and the central part is meant for an aquapark.
