The supermarket chain Mercator in B&H might be offered for sale, Ljubljana's Dnevnik reports.

According to the daily's sources, the store chain Bingo and wealthy Arab investors are interested in the purchase, whereas investors from Serbia are interested in taking over the stores in Republika Srpska.

Unofficially, the daily writes that the management team of Agrokor, headed by Ante Ramljak, does not object to the potential sale, providing, of course, that the price is reasonable.

Let us remind that the Mercator shopping center facility in New Belgrade was sold to a consortium one of whose members is Petar Matic's MPC Group for EUR 46 million. As Serbian media reported, it is not Mercator's business that is being sold, but only the real estate property in Belgrade, in order for the supermarket chain's liabilities towards banks to be reduced.
