Pirteks has started manufacturing trousers for men and women at its facility in Free Zone Pirot.

This company is owned by investors from Bulgaria, who have invested over EUR 300,000 in equipping the facility and initiating the production, Pirotske Vesti reports.

There are around 50 employees at the plant at the moment, mostly former Prvi Maj workers, and the plan is to soon employ 70 more people.

The aim is for the production to be carried out in two shifts, and, as the manager of the facility, Boban Nikolic, says, around 500 pairs of trousers for the foreign market are manufactured a day at the moment.
