Profit of Dunav Osiguranje in 2017 around RSD 1.25 billion – Gross premium exceeds EUR 200 million
The chairman of the Executive Board of the company, Mirko Petrovic, says that Dunav Osiguranje will be “the first company in the insurance market in Serbia to exceed EUR 200 million in premium”.
A growth of premium compared to 2016 has been recorded, with non-life insurance premium projected to grow by over 7% and life insurance premium expected to grow by 11%.
– The total growth of the premium stands at around 8%. I believe that these are very good results – he said.
As he explains, such results point to a growth of the Serbian insurance market and its potential for an even bigger development, while also pointing to a stable and secure position of Dunav Osiguranje in the market.
Another important indicator of the company’s successful operations is the market share. According to estimates, Dunav Osiguranje should end the year with a market share of 26-27% of the entire insurance industry,
The company’s aims for 2018 are to achieve a growth of gross premium, maintain its market share and increase profit compared to the previous year.
One of the company’s priorities in 2018, he added, will be to focus more on personal insurance.
– We will focus on life insurance, health insurance, as well as insurance of property of natural persons – Petrovic said and added that Dunav Osiguranje would present a wholly new product in the Serbian market in 2018 – mobile phone insurance.
Petrovic reminded that, in 2017, Dunav Osiguranje presented a new product, “Cancer Protection”, a specific service providing protection from risks related to carcinogenic diseases.
