Subsidies for employment allocated to 20 companies in Vojvodina – New contest as soon as January 2018
Nearly all the companies come from the production sector – metalworking, fruit and vegetable production and processing and the textile industry, whereas the only company from the service sector comes from the field of information technologies.
The subsidies were received by Sixsentix (Novi Sad), Aling-Conel (Gajdobra), Mecafor Products (Kikinda), Frigo Zika (Ruma), Grindex (Kikinda), Agroprom (Gornji Tavankut), Insert (Ruma), EBM Papst (Sombor), Egston System Electronics (Pancevo), Seveplant (Kula), FMO Ukus (Kovacica), Land of Apple (Novi Sad), Niva (Zabalj), Eko Snack (Kula), Agroomega (Zabalj), Knott-Autoflex Yug (Becej), Prica Ketering (Nova Pazova), Zupcanik (Ada), Eaton Electric (Sremska Mitrovica) and Dadex (Sremska Mitrovica).
Bjelic pointed out that the Provincial Government was carrying out this development policy measure for the first time, in coordination with the Development Agency of Vojvodina, thereby defining one of its priorities – a quicker development of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina through new employments, says the website of the Provincial Government.
The realization of investment projects in these 20 companies, which have been marked as the most solvent and successful ones, is expected to lead to the employment of around 790 new workers in the upcoming period of up to three years. Furthermore, the companies need to keep these workers for three to five years following the realization of the project, and the salaries need to be at least 20% higher than the minimum wage in Serbia.
– The funds are provided through first-class banking guarantees. The Development Agency will monitor the realization of projects quarterly, whereas a report by an independent auditor is to be filed annually – Bjelic said and announced that the Provincial Secretariat would open the next contest as soon as January 2018.
He repeated that the allocated funds had been directed at companies in line with the policy of even regional development, based on the degree of development of the local self-government in which the project is realized, the grading list and the criteria for business plan rating.
The subsidies expected in Vojvodina in the upcoming period and the activities through which the Development Agency of Vojvodina aids the development of the economy were recently discussed by the new director of the Development Agency of Vojvodina, Nikola Zezelj, in his interview for eKapija.
