Transport and logistics crucial to efficient business – New Special Edition Newsletter on December 12 at eKapija

The total foreign merchandise trade of Serbia amounted to EUR 28.47 billion in the ten months of the current year, making it 13,7% higher compared to the corresponding period of 2016. In order for the trade to be further facilitated, thereby improving the results, the National Coordination Body for Facilitation of Foreign Trade was recently founded. As stated, the newly founded body was formed in order to identify and solve the obstacles on the road to more efficient import and export procedures leading to a more intensive economic growth.

Along with the reduction of administrative procedures, in order for the trade to be more efficient, it is necessary to also strengthen the capacities of transport and logistics companies. The full effects of improving logistics and the resulting improvements in efficiency and savings, can only be achieved if all the processes in the supply chain are monitored and improved simultaneously. Logistics processes and supply chains are also important areas for creating added value of products.
