Mayor of Zrenjanin, Goran Knežević, has been arrested during police action against the members of "construction mafia".
Agency Beta announces that the arresting of about 10 persons charged with building land malversations is underway.
In addition to Knežević, the Head of the City Planning Department of City of Zrenjanin, Nikola Halas, and the owner of Novi Sad-based company "Gvozden", Grgur Uglješa, have also been arrested.
According to these information, the Group is suspected of rigging the tenders for construction works and building land malversations.
