He said that CMA CGM enjoyed a continuous growth and that it kept innovating to offer its customers new maritime, inland, and logistics solutions.
– CMA CGM is present on Serbian market for many years, from late 90s through different agency organizations, but today we are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of CMA CGM SERBIA shipping agency, Group’s own company, which has all this time been offering efficient support and shipping services to Serbian import-export companies through different ports in the region as per customers’ choice – Stancar said.
Since mid 90s, CMA CGM group has been endeavoring to develop the so-called Southern European gateway through Adriatic ports to the Central Europe and All Adriatic markets including the land-locked country of Serbia.
– We started a long time ago with a small feeder vessels connecting Adriatic ports/the land-locked country of SERBIA with Asia and worldwide destinations through CMA CGM hub at Malta. In September 2003 we were the first shipping line in the world to launch a direct/weekly container line service connecting Adriatic and Asia “PHOENICIAN EXPRESS” calling directly Koper, Rijeka, Trieste and Venice with vessel capacity of 2800 TEU. From then over the years our service was improving in vessel sizes “today 6500 TEUs”, increasing port of calls, hinterland markets coverage, intermodal solutions which we serve through Adriatic ports – Bine Stancar said.
– We will not stop here in our ambitious business development strategy, we will continue to offer even better “port to port” and multimodal “door to door” services combining sea and land transport in one package, constant improvements into E-commerce services and customer relation management, education of our staff in local agency who are our face and hands on the local Serbian market – Stancar announced.
Being the largest market in this area with dynamic economy and very positive economic future outlook, with its geographic position borderline between the East and West providing excellent connections with Western Europe and the Middle East, Serbia has grown into one of the leading investment locations in Central and Eastern Europe, he emphasized.
