Serbia among top 10 foreign investors in Montenegro - UAE, Russia and Azerbaijan lead
The
first place is held by the United Arab Emirates with nearly 87m EUR, followed by Russia with 50m, and the
third is Azerbaijan with 45m, Podgorica's Pobjeda reports, referring to the
data of the Central Bank. Gross
investments amount to 500m EUR.
Foreigners
invested 143.7m EUR in companies and banks in Montenegro, 120.6 million in the
purchase of real estate, and in intercompany debt, i.e. investments that do not
increase fixed capital, 201 m.
Italy
ranks fourth with 38.2 m, followed by Germany (35.2 m), Switzerland (31.56),
Serbia (27.39), Cyprus (23, 7),
the ninth is Turkey (19) and the tenth is Spain with 13.8m EUR.
UAE invested the highest amount of funds, EUR 67.9 m, in domestic companies and banks, and Azerbaijan was second with 45 m.
Russians are leading in real estate investments with 35.6 m and Italians with 36.9 m, are leading in investments that do not increase share capital.
When it comes to the countries from the region, the highest amount was from Serbia 27.4m EUR, 3.5m from Bosnia and Herzegovina, 3.4m Slovenia, etc.
