No buyer for "Jat Airways"?

As the trade union of "JAT Airways" learned from the unofficial sources, not one company has bought the tender documentation prior to the expiration of the deadline for submission of bids for privatization of "Jat Airways".

People in the Privatization Agency and in the Ministry of Economy did not want either to confirm or to deny these claims. The deadline for purchase of tender documentation for privatization of company "Jat Airways" expired at midnight on Friday, September 26.

Although there were some speculations that "Aeroflot", "Air Berlin", "Air Iceland" and "Air India" expressed interest in "JAT", people from the trade union of pilots of "Jat" claim that there are no buyers interested in their company at the moment.

- Cooperation with the Privatization Agency is unsatisfying, even now when the deadline for purchase of tender documentation expired, and we do not have official report about what happened and whether some company bought the documentation. We learned from our sources that nobody was interested in buying the tender documentation - says the President of the Trade union of pilots of "Jat Airways", Milan Jovanović.

People in the Ministry of Economy did not want to confirm these claims because it is technically possible that some bid was sent by mail on Friday night and maybe has not arrived yet.
