MIHAJLOVIC: Serbia could soon become headquarters of the Transport Community of the Western Balkans

Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Transport, Construction and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said that our country could soon become the headquarters of the Secretariat of the Transport Community for the countries of the Western Balkans.

According to the website of the Government of Serbia, Mihajlovic, explaining in the Serbian Parliament the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on the Establishment of the Transport Community, pointed out that ratification of this document will enable at the meeting of the minister council December 7,that headquarters if the Secretariat of the Transport Community for the Western Balkans is in Serbia.

One of the strategic goals of Serbia is linking with the region, she reminded and emphasized that it is important for our country to become an indispensable corridor.

Also, as she explained, the agreement will enable the increase in the volume of transport of people and goods, and steps on extension of the transport network will be taken as well.
