Trade fair of hotel and catering equipment "HORECA EXPO" opened in Belgrade

International trade fair of hotel and catering equipment "Horeca Expo" has been opened today (September 25, 2008) in Expo center in Belgrade and it will be closed on September 27.

The State Secretary of Tourism within the Ministry of Economy of Serbia, Goran Petković, said at the opening that that manifestation would help Serbia improve tourist and catering business.

According to his words, Serbia has educated staff for tourism and catering, but the educational system lacks practical work.

The exhibitors at this trade fair will be the leading regional companies in field of production, import, distribution and maintenance of equipment and inventory for catering and hotel management, procurement and distribution of food and drinks and the whole accompanying industry.

There will also be numerous catering companies, Association of Bartenders, General Association of Catering Companies of Belgrade, Organization of Improvement of Hotel Business and Gastronomy of Serbia - HGS, as well as the Association of Cooks of Serbia.

According to the announcement of the organizer, this trade fair will include organization of the National Cocktail Championship and the winner will represent Serbia at the World Bartender Contest in Germany in 2009.

During "Horeca expo", expert lectures on modern trends in hotel business, new trends in food and drinks sector, smoking ban in catering facilities and Serbian wine will be held in hotel "Holiday Inn".
