Germany is the most desirable investor in Serbia, a third of the citizens of Serbia believe, citing as main reasons the degree of development of Germany, regarding business, economy and industry. It is interesting to note that as many as 60% of the citizens see Germany's economic power as its main strength.

Another interesting thing is that, in an imagined choice between working in Germany and working for a German employer in Serbia, the people of Serbia would give a slight advantage to staying in Serbia.

Among other things, these are the results of the survey titled “The Perception of German Economy and Investments”, which was carried out on a representative sample of 1,200 citizens from throughout the territory of Serbia at the request of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK).

– The citizens of Serbia have shown in this survey as well that they appreciate true values and that they care for a strong economy, efficient business and quality products on the one hand and an honest treatment of their work on the other – said Ronald Seeliger, president of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Managing Director of Hemofarm.

Germany and Serbia are realizing a very close economic cooperation, and Germany is also Serbia's most important trade partner. Ambassador of Germany to Serbia Axel Dittmann pointed this out and reminded that there were nearly 400 companies from Germany in Serbia, which had invested more than EUR 1.8 billion and which employed over 35,000 workers.

– German companies gladly do business in Serbia and are active as reliable partners and responsible employers in the long term. We are working together on attracting other companies to invest in Serbia as well, to expand our economic exchange – Dittmann said.

AHK announced that it would intensify an exchange of experiences between companies in the next period in order to introduce others to the success of the so-called German business model and to work on promoting dual education.
